Why Professional Teams Win When Their Players Get Financial Education
February 13, 2026
Professional athletes spend years training their bodies, perfecting their skills, and competing at the highest levels. But one area where many teams don’t invest enough? Equipping players with the financial knowledge and business skills they need to thrive off the field. That’s where Edyoucore comes in.
Yesterday, we wrapped our 2025 Financial Education Programs — five impactful sessions designed to help players make smart financial decisions, grow wealth responsibly, and prepare for life after sports. We closed the season with a CEO Huddle featuring Brandon Lockett of Neutron Systems and Donta Henson of Los Hermanos Tequila. They shared firsthand insights on what it takes to build and run a successful business — from leadership and risk management to branding and capital strategy.
Professional athletes aren’t just players — they’re entrepreneurs, investors, and role models. When they have the tools to make informed financial decisions, everyone wins:
- Players gain confidence and security for the future.
- Teams benefit from athletes who are focused, empowered, and prepared for life after sports.
- The league builds a culture of responsible wealth management and long-term success.
A special thank you to Jameel McClain and the Baltimore Ravens for welcoming us back for our fourth season and for supporting this important work in partnership with the NFLPA and the National Football League.
At Edyoucore, this is what we do: we design financial education programs that empower professional athletes to make smart decisions today while preparing for a successful tomorrow. And the results go beyond the individual — they strengthen teams, locker rooms, and organizations as a whole.
If your organization is looking to provide financial education for your players, we can tailor a program to fit your team’s needs. Because when players win off the field, the entire team wins.
