Life rarely works out like we imagine it will. After graduating from Purdue University in 1988, Daphne began her first career as a chemical engineer in the oil and gas industry. While she enjoyed the experience and opportunities, she felt the desire to somehow impact people directly. So, after seven years she hung up her hardhat and began her second career in the financial services industry because she wanted to help people have a better relationship with money. Since then, she has earned valuable experience at several traditional advisory firms working with high net worth clients, small businesses and non-profit organizations. She returned to school, completed the Executive Financial Planning program at Xavier University and earned her Certified Financial Planner® certification.
Along the way, Daphne volunteered at Dress for Success and other non-profit organizations teaching people basic financial concepts and literacy. It became clear that her passion was providing unbiased financial education free from selling insurance products or managing money. Daphne joined Financial Finesse and was instrumental in helping the company design and implement workplace provided financial wellness programs for employees; including several NFL teams. In her new role as the Director of Financial Education at Edyoucore, Daphne will be able to leverage her previous experience and fulfill her passion by assisting those in Sports & Entertainment to become better equipped in addressing their financial, lifestyle and business affairs.
Daphne is the proud mom of twin daughters who are Ohio State Buckeyes. In her free time, Daphne enjoys live music, all sports, time on the beach, travel and sampling good red wine. She also volunteers with local non-profit organizations. Her life is nothing like she imagined it would be – it’s so much better.
