Frisco, Texas — Drew Hawkins represented edyoucore sports and entertainment at the 2019 Global Sports Summit taking place May 29-30 in Frisco, Texas. The annual event produced by The Sports Leadership Institute enables unrivaled opportunities for sports leaders to share best practices, lessons learned, behind-the-curtain strategies, and discussions surrounding important issues and challenges.
Hawkins served as a panelist alongside 17-year NBA Veteran and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Member, Gary Payton and moderator, WFAA Sports Reporter, Joe Trahan. Their topic, “A Vision for the Future — Hoops, One-and-Done, and Athlete Transition,” focused on GenZ, the AAU athletic culture, one-and-done, and financial education that can empower athletes for a positive transition out of day-to-day competition.
